   Course Summary
This is the a seminar at the Patoss 2021 Virtual Annual Conference & AGM. This session is one hour and 15 minutes long
   Course Detail
Writing and transcription skills (handwriting and keyboarding) are critical throughout education and in employment. However, these are complex skills and students with cognitive, attention, language or motor coordination difficulties may struggle to become proficient in this area. This can have a negative impact on classroom learning, examination performance and self-esteem. The use of robust assessment tools will aid in the identification of and support for individuals with writing and handwriting difficulties.
   CPD Themes
  • SpLD testing methods, interpretation, report writing, feedback and test materials
  • Assessors
  • Support
  • Delegates will need to book a place on the Patoss 2021 Virtual Conference & AGM to access this seminar
   Learning Outcomes
  • This workshop will introduce practical ways to assess the speed and legibility of handwriting and to evaluate written composition skills.
  • Self-evaluation and the perspective of the student will also be considered
  • Delegates will have hands on experience in applying assessment tools and have the opportunity to evaluate them for their own practice setting.
  • Consideration of the practical aspects and psychometric properties in relation to the purpose of assessment.
